V/K Hypnotherapeutic One Session Phobia Treatment

Consider an existence controlled by terror and panic, in which each action is examined and even the smallest decision is agonized over. Extensive time is spent analyzing daily responsibilities or circumstances that many people manage easily. According to the National Institute of Health, nearly 40 million people in the United States who experience anxiety disorders have this manner of existence.

Concordantly, more than 18 percent of Americans suffer a form of a panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder or phobias, such as a social phobia, agoraphobia, or a specific phobia, which embody common fears of items such as germs, elevators or heights.

Are you among those people? Many people aren't sure how to figure out if their inherent concerns have evolved into a phobia. A phobia is classified as an illogical fear or dread. If a person comes across a phobia trigger, he or she may grow panicked with increased heart palpitation and respiration. Commonly, they may feel a choking sensation or their hands turn sweaty. The person might also notice ringing in their ears and realize they are unable to focus on the environment.

As with any unpleasant consciousness, people may go to great lengths to avoid the experiences, settings and items that cause them. If someone has a social phobia, they may avoid people, or if it is a common phobia, such as coffins or spiders, those who have a phobia may try to elude those triggers.

The anxiety disorder phobia could be one of the most difficult to solve because consequent problems commonly result from the anxiety phobia relationship, such as despair or substance dependence. In fact, the majority of people who suffer from one anxiety disorder regularly acquire other anxiety disorders.

Though it may be valuable to visit with a mental health professional to identify your phobia and investigate the root of it, the imperative step is commencing treatment for the anxiety and phobia. There are several therapies for successfully eliminating a phobia, including drugs, talk therapy, systematic desensitization, hypnotherapy, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

Often, drug treatments for anxiety and phobia treatment include sedatives, which actually worsen the difficulty because they do not focus on the deep reason for the phobia. Other mental health professionals choose talk therapy; however, discussing or even thinking about the situation or atmosphere of the causal anxiety phobia can generate a panic attack.

Traditional hypnosiswhich merely assists the client accomplish a relaxed state of hypnosis and then offering post-hypnotic commands or suggestionscan be very effective if the client is open to it. That said, many people with phobias refuse the notion that they will be more relaxed and calm when they are faced with the situation or environment that activates anxiety from the connected phobia.

Knowing the challenges and even hindrances of other kinds of phobia treatments, systematic desensitization can be a valuable treatment. It is the practice of steadily desensitizing a subject to the trigger that causes the anxiety disorder phobia and ensuing panic attacks.

For example, if a subject wants to overcome a phobia of dogs, she is asked to first sit down and imagine a dog until she is secure with the image. Then, she is given a photograph of a dog to look at. Perhaps she proceeds to embracing a toy dog and so on until she is able to be in the presence of a dog without the panic symptomspossibly even pet the dog.

The key point is that, following each action, the subject recognizes that nothing terrible occurred and that she is secure. If at any time she experiences fear or panic, the therapist asks her to revert to the previous step until she has recaptured a sense of security.

Thankfully, there is a means to make this process less painful and frightening: Systematic desensitization can be executed as the subject is in a relaxed state of hypnosis. While in a relaxed hypnotic trance, the client would be asked to execute the same actions, however she would actually be feeling very peaceful as she imagined herself feeling comfortable and relaxed in the situation that provokes anxiety.

Just like live systematic desensitization that transpires without the benefit of hypnosis, if the subject suffers any anxiety connected to her phobia, she is commanded to step back to the previous step. The only negative aspect is that this technique may need a fair amount of time to create liberation from a phobia.

The fastest and most effective method to eliminate a phobia is a Neuro-Linguistic Programming technique called a Visual/Kinesthetic Disassociation. It commonly cures the subject of a chronic phobia in only one session. The method actually programs the subject to disassociate, or mentally step outside of themselves at the point that they would usually begin their anxiety attack. The process literally splits the subjective emotions from the mental images that create the panic attack in the first place.

CONCLUSION: While any phobia treatment that someone embarks on will involve work and commitment, systematic desensitization coupled with hypnosis can offer an effective cure. But the NLP Visual/Kinesthetic Disassociation can offer a solution that almost seems magical by allowing the subject to triumph over the phobia quickly with significantly lessperhaps even nopanic or discomfort.
